Demidov Leads Habs to 4-3 Win Over Vancouver Canucks
Rookie sensation Ivan Demidov scored a goal and had two assists, leading the Montreal Canadiens to a 4-3 win over the Vancouver Canucks at Rogers Arena.
- Nick Suzuki, Juraj Slafkovsky, and Mike Matheson also scored for Montreal (7-3-0).
- Goalie Jakub Dobeš made 28 saves to pick up the win.
- Forward Elias Pettersson, Jake DeBrusk, and Conor Garland scored for Vancouver (4-5-0).
Pettersson opened the scoring 4:42 into the first period, converting a nice return pass from Filip Hronek for his second goal of the season.
The Canucks outshot the Canadiens 11-4 in the first period, but Montreal came out on top.
