Christopher Husbands, the infamous Eaton Centre shooter, is serving a life sentence for manslaughter after killing two people and nearly killing a 13-year-old boy in a mall shooting.
Husbands was found guilty of two counts of manslaughter in the deaths of Ahmed Hassan, 24, and Nixon Nirmalendran, 22, after sending 14 bullets flying in a busy food court in 2012.
A parole hearing for Husbands is scheduled for later this month, just six years after his conviction.
How quickly time flies — even for a killer who has two victims on his resume, and very nearly a third young teen as well.
Husbands' actions were driven by revenge and a lack of concern for innocent bystanders caught in his gunfire.
Author's summary: Eaton Centre shooter applies for parole after six years.
