Arts and Humanities Day: A Celebration of Carpentry and Hands-On Work
The University's 45th annual Arts and Humanities Day event series, held on October 18, drew in over 4,000 visitors and featured guests such as author Amitav Ghosh, photographer Sally Mann, and writer Roxane Gay.
Students, faculty, and staff were offered free tickets to all of the day's programming, which culminated in a closing program with actor, author, and woodworker Nick Offerman and fellow carpenter Lee K. Buchanan.
Nick Offerman, known for his role as Ron Swanson in the NBC series Parks and Recreation, spoke and sang to a sold-out crowd in Rockefeller Memorial Chapel, sharing his passion for carpentry and hands-on work in the digital age.
