Windows 11 KB5067036 Issue: Task Manager Won't Close and Duplicates
A strange bug in Windows 11 KB5067036 causes the Task Manager to duplicate every time it is closed, potentially hurting PC performance.
- 30% of 100 virtual machines have encountered this bug.
- The issue may affect users who frequently open Task Manager.
KB5067036 (Build 26200.7019 or 26100.7019) was released on October 28 with new features, including a redesigned Start menu and colorful battery icons.
Microsoft hasn't acknowledged the reports yet.
The update also improves functionality, such as allowing Windows to shut down when using Update & Shut Down in the Start menu's power options.
