Michael Klinger Joins Welsh Fire in Senior Role
Welsh Fire has announced that Michael Klinger has joined the senior management team in a dual capacity ahead of the 2026 season.
Michael has signed a two-year contract and will work alongside General Manager Mark Wallace to oversee recruitment for both the Men's and Women's teams.
He will also serve as the Women's Team Head Coach for the 2026 campaign in The Hundred, with Gareth Breese staying on as an Assistant Coach.
This appointment strengthens ties between Glamorgan County Cricket Club and Washington Freedom, following their joint acquisition of Welsh Fire in July.
Michael will retain his role as Director of Cricket at Washington Freedom in the MLC, a position he has held since 2022.
