West Virginia University President Michael T. Benson will deliver his first State of the University address on Monday at 3 p.m. from the Fitzsimmons Event Hall at the WVU College of Law.
The speech will be part of the Faculty Senate meeting and will outline Benson's vision for the university's future. Benson has been at the helm of the university since July and has already spoken about his strategic plan at the West Virginia Business Summit.
“Bold futures start here. Where pride runs deep, success is earned, and life-changing experiences prepare Mountaineers to lead in West Virginia and the world. Let’s go!”
As part of his "Welcome Home" tour, Benson has traveled to dozens of West Virginia counties in his 12 weeks on the job.
