NASA Detects Unusual Maneuver by Alien Spacecraft 3I/ATLAS

NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) has reported that the interstellar object 3I/ATLAS has performed a maneuver while approaching the Sun, showing evidence of non-gravitational acceleration.

The object's acceleration was measured at 135 kilometers per day squared radially from the Sun and 60 kilometers per day squared transversely relative to the direction toward the Sun, at a distance of about 203 million kilometers from the Sun.

“Unfortunately, we cannot observe 3I/ATLAS from Earth at this opportune time, which raises the question of whether its trajectory was fine-tuned by extraterrestrial intelligence?”

Harvard astrophysicist Avi Loeb suggested that the object's trajectory is consistent with an Oberth maneuver, sparking speculation about the possibility of extraterrestrial intelligence.

Author's summary: NASA detects unusual maneuver by alien spacecraft.
