Consortium Awarded Rights for Oil and Gas Exploration in Bangsamoro
The Department of Energy (DoE) has identified a consortium awarded with the rights to explore oil and gas deposits in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.
According to Energy Secretary Sharon S. Garin, the consortium includes Australian firm Triangle Energy (Global) Limited and British company Sunda Energy Plc, along with Philippine partners PXP Energy Corporation and The Philodrill Corporation.
- Petroleum Service Contract (PSC) 80 covers approximately 780,000 hectares.
- PSC 81 spans about 532,000 hectares, totaling 1,312,000 hectares in the Sulu Sea.
