Mexican Mayor Killing Suspected to be Linked to Jalisco Cartel
Mexican authorities suspect that Carlos Manzo, the mayor of Uruapan, was killed by the Jalisco Cartel, according to a report.
The killing is believed to be linked to the capture of a local leader, Rene Belmonte, by police in August. Belmonte was a close subordinate of the Alvarez Ayala brothers, top leaders in the Jalisco Cartel.
