General Atomics Aeronautical Systems has introduced the Gambit 6, the latest air-to-ground variant in its modular line of uncrewed tactical jets. Deliveries to international customers are expected to begin in 2027, with European versions becoming available by 2029.
The Gambit 6 is the sixth iteration in the Gambit series, featuring a common airframe core that includes empennage, wings, air intakes, propulsion, and payload systems tailored to specific missions. Its design closely resembles the Gambit 2, which is focused on air-to-air engagements and serves as the basis for the YFQ-42A prototype developed for the US Air Force’s Collaborative Combat Aircraft (CCA) program.
Unlike the Gambit 2’s air superiority role, the Gambit 6 is a versatile multi-role aircraft configured for:
