Democrats Gain Seats in Suffolk and Nassau Legislatures
Democrats have made significant gains in both the Suffolk and Nassau County Legislatures.
In Suffolk, Democrat Greg Doroski defeated Republican Legis. Stark in the 1st District, securing the North Fork seat. Meanwhile, in Nassau, Democrats claimed an open seat.
“In Suffolk County, when we get knocked down, we get right back up and we’re ready to fight,”
said Suffolk Democratic chairman Richard Schaffer, commenting on the results.
