Australia’s Tim David grabbed a brilliant two-finger catch to dismiss India’s captain Suryakumar Yadav during the fourth T20I of India’s 2025 tour of Australia. The match took place at Carrara Oval, Gold Coast, on November 6, 2025, and was filled with exciting moments.
With the five-match series level at 1-1, Australia’s skipper Mitchell Marsh won the toss and elected to play in the fourth T20I. Australia made four team changes, while India fielded the same lineup as in the previous match.
Captain Suryakumar Yadav looked in tremendous form, blasting 20 off just 10 balls with two sixes before his dismissal triggered a batting collapse. Following his wicket, Tilak Varma (5) and Jitesh Sharma (3) fell quickly.
Suryakumar had earlier sent two of Adam Zampa’s deliveries over the ropes. However, when Xavier Bartlett entered the attack, he generated extra bounce that deceived the Indian skipper. Attempting his trademark flick shot, Suryakumar sent the ball high into the air rather than far downfield.
Tim David sprinted from deep backward square and completed the catch with two fingers at an awkward angle, later pretending to lick the ball in a humorous gesture that amused players and spectators alike.
Tim David’s cheeky post-catch reaction added levity to a tense moment as Australia fought back to reclaim control in the fourth T20I of the tightly contested series.
