Miami Heat forward Bam Adebayo offered an update on his foot injury sustained during the team’s 122–112 loss to the Denver Nuggets. The setback came early in the matchup, causing a major blow to Miami’s rotation.
Adebayo left the game with 3:48 remaining in the first quarter after appearing to hurt his left foot during a transition play. He finished the night with two points and one rebound, hitting just one of five shots in eight minutes.
“I felt a pain in my foot so I took it upon myself to check myself out and go see what happened. We’ll get more tests tomorrow and see how it goes,”
the 28-year-old said after the game, according to team reports.
Without Adebayo, Miami’s lack of frontcourt depth quickly became clear. Kel’el Ware was the only true center available, while Keshad Johnson and Nikola Jovic provided limited backup. The absence of Precious Achiuwa, now with the Sacramento Kings, and Vlad Goldin, currently in the G League, further strained the roster.
Denver took full advantage inside, driven by Nikola Jokic’s dominant performance. Jokic delivered a 33-point, 15-rebound, 16-assist triple-double in 37 minutes, shooting efficiently from both the field and beyond the arc.
The Heat’s defeat in Denver exposed their reliance on Adebayo, whose injury leaves the team urgently seeking stability in their frontcourt rotation.
