A shooting outside a barbershop on Detroit’s west side resulted in the deaths of two men. The incident took place on Wednesday in the 2100 block of Greenfield Road.
Deputy Chief Jacqueline Pritchette of the Detroit police reported officers found the barbershop’s front window shot out. Inside, one man was discovered dead just east of the entrance, and a second man was found deceased further inside.
“There were no signs of forced entry or struggle prior to the shooting,” said Pritchette. “The workstations inside appeared intact.”
Authorities have not identified any suspects, vehicles, or motives as of midnight following the shooting. They believe the attack was likely targeted.
Police urge anyone who was in the barbershop before or during the incident, or who left before officers arrived, to contact homicide detectives or Crimestoppers at 1-800-Speak-Up.
“We are depending on the citizens of this city to bring closure for the families of the victims,” Pritchette said.
