The San Jose Sharks delivered their most complete performance of the season on Wednesday, winning 6-1 against the Seattle Kraken at Climate Pledge Arena. Six different Sharks players scored, showcasing a balanced offensive effort.
Dellandrea’s goal, his first this season, was scored shorthanded early in the third period, pushing the lead to 5-1. Just 30 seconds later, Toffoli added his fifth goal of the season.
Goalie Yaroslav Askarov impressed with 28 saves in the game, including 14 in the third period alone. San Jose went a perfect 6-for-6 on the penalty kill, contributing to their most decisive victory this year.
“Our penalty kill was really good tonight. So that helps,” Sharks coach Ryan Warsofsky said. “I thought our game got better as the game went on.”
The Sharks improved to 5-6-3 this season and have won five of their last eight games. This victory marked the Kraken’s first regulation loss at home this season. Previously, San Jose earned a 5-2 win over the New Jersey Devils on October 30, with three other wins in overtime. Askarov also made 36 saves in a 3-2 overtime win against the Colorado Avalanche on Saturday.
The Sharks' road record now stands at 3-3-0.
