AAP Factcheck found that the clip was filmed during a Catholic wedding ceremony and is being falsely linked to Islam on social media.
- A Facebook video from an Australian user shared the clip with the overlay text "This sharia law".
- Another post claimed "Islam is a mental illness".
- Other posts falsely stated that it depicted a child bride.
A reverse image search revealed that the clip is from a longer video filmed during a wedding reception in Italy, originally posted on TikTok on September 28, 2025, by a wedding guest.
