A much-loved community shop has a new lease of life after being taken over by a husband-and-wife team, Emma and Bobby Dixon.
The store, formerly Jasper's Shop on Waldegrave Road, Carlisle, had been in the same family for over 25 years before the Dixons stepped in to continue its legacy.
Now named Dixon's Convenience Store, the shop is in its third week of new ownership. Emma said:
“It’s been really good. It’s been busy, and we’re starting to get to know more people every day.”
Emma, who previously worked as an estate agent, said she was ready for a change, citing that the corporate nine-to-five was no longer for her after maternity leave.
The new owners, Bobby, 24, and Emma, 23, are excited to start this new chapter.
