The former head of McLaren, Michael Leiters, may take over as CEO of Porsche, according to a statement from the German firm.
Leiters, who led McLaren from 2022 to April this year, is a potential successor to current CEO Oliver Blume.
Blume has been under pressure to focus on overhauling the Volkswagen Group, and will remain CEO of the group, signing a five-year term starting January 1.
Leiters has previous experience working at Porsche for 13 years, as well as at Ferrari.
Porsche said in a statement that Leiters "is available as a potential successor" to Blume.
