ELD Compliance Alert
FMCSA has removed five more electronic logging devices from the approved list. If you're using one of these devices, you have 60 days to replace it to stay compliant.
The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration has removed a total of 25 devices from its list of approved ELDs since the start of 2025. The affected devices were removed for failing to meet minimum requirements, specifically
an ELD without a printer be designed so that the display may be reasonably viewed by an authorized safety official without (the official) entering the commercial motor vehicleas established in 49 CFR part 395, subpart B, appendix A.
Drivers using non-compliant ELDs must replace them within the given timeframe to avoid any issues.
