Commission on Ethics Chair Requests Public Records Exemption
Citing safety concerns, Commission on Ethics chair Jon Philipson has requested a public records exemption for staff personal information and addresses.
"The threats are real."
This request comes after an individual made over 35 threatening calls to the Florida Commission on Ethics in one week. Philipson, appointed by Gov. DeSantis, addressed the Senate Committee on Ethics and Elections, stating that the Commission is "constantly under attack" amidst rising political violence.
