Police Raid Colonie Hotel in Search for McDonald's Robbery Suspect
Colonie Police and Saratoga County Sheriff's Deputies raided the Econo Lodge Inn Suites in Colonie on Saturday night.
The raid was part of the search for 32-year-old Joseph Hess of Frankfurt, NY, accused of robbing a 76-year-old woman at the McDonald's parking lot in Ballston on Thursday.
- Hess allegedly stole the woman's pocketbook and ran over her with his car.
- The woman was transported to the hospital with compound leg fractures.
SWAT was heard over the loudspeaker calling out Hess's name and telling him to come out with his hands up.
Police appeared to break a window during the search for Hess.
