Mexico and Canada Sign Bilateral Economic Agreement

Mexico and Canada have signed a new accord to boost trade, supply chains, and security cooperation ahead of the 2026 USMCA renegotiation.

The agreement aims to promote and strengthen economic and security ties between the two nations, with bilateral trade totaling $56 billion in 2024 and Canada's foreign direct investment in Mexico reaching $46 billion.

Canada was Mexico's fifth largest trade partner, while Mexico was Canada's third largest as of the end of last year.
