Quartararo has expressed his intention to leave Yamaha for the 2027 MotoGP season if the 2026 bike is not competitive enough. Despite this, Meregalli claims that the working atmosphere inside the factory team's pit box remains unchanged.
Quartararo's dissatisfaction with the Yamaha MotoGP project has become more apparent since the summer break, particularly after difficult weekends like the Austrian Grand Prix.
Yamaha's V4 debuted in San Marino in September, with Quartararo, Jack Miller, and Alex Rins sampling the revolutionary machine.
