Police Inspector Sentenced to Life Imprisonment for Murder
A high court in Kumasi has sentenced Inspector Ahmed Twumasi, a police officer, to life imprisonment for the murder of his 26-year-old girlfriend, Victoria Dapaah.
The court found Inspector Twumasi guilty by a 5-2 jury verdict on October 24, 2025, for fatally shooting Dapaah multiple times on April 20, 2023, at Adum, near the Aseda House.
Inspector Twumasi, who was with the Special Weapons and Tactics Unit (SWAT), will spend the rest of his life behind bars.
