The Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office remains on the scene of a standoff in the city this morning, but the suspect is in custody.
Law enforcement activity in Tuolumne began when a man was reportedly taken into custody without incident.
The event started about 3 a.m. when sheriff’s deputies were called to an apparent domestic violence incident where a man was holed up inside his residence.
Around 5:15 a.m., sheriff’s officers announced on social media that portions of Gardner Avenue and Carter, Madone, and Rozier streets were temporarily blocked due to the incident.
According to the Sheriff’s authorities, the individual had given himself up without incident at around 5:30 a.m. and that all road restrictions had been lifted by 7:45 a.m.
