Humanitarian Crisis in Gaza
A desperate need for water and food continues in Gaza as families head north.
According to the UN aid coordination office (OCHA), over 470,000 movements by civilians heading north inside the Gaza Strip have been recorded since the ceasefire began.
“Water, food and essential services are still desperately needed,”
OCHA said, as humanitarian partners work to meet the soaring demand amid widespread destruction.
- More than 300 truckloads of supplies have entered Gaza, including:
- Wheat flour
- Canned food
- Rice
- Medical equipment
- Tents
- Tarpaulins
- Hygiene kits, post-partum kits, and shelter materials have also been delivered.
Aid continues to enter Gaza, but the situation remains critical.
