Georgian College Announces Second Cohort of Schulich Builders Scholars
Georgian College is celebrating its second cohort of 10 students who have been awarded the prestigious Schulich Builders Scholarships for Skilled Trades.
The scholarships, valued at up to $40,000, support students pursuing a diploma or certificate program in a skilled trade. This year, over 1,000 students were nominated from a pool of 380,000 potential candidates across Canada, with 120 recipients receiving the award in 2025.
The program, launched by The Schulich Foundation in February 2023, aims to amplify the lucrative and in-demand job opportunities in skilled trades across Canada.
The scholarships are awarded to hard-working students who are pursuing a diploma or certificate program at a participating college and aspiring towards a career in a skilled trade.
- Scholarship value: $40,000 for a two-year diploma program, $20,000 for a one-year certificate program
