Astronaut Buzz Aldrin’s Wife Anca Faur Dead at Age 66
Buzz Aldrin's fourth wife, Anca Faur, died at age 66 in her sleep with her husband and son Vlad Ghenciu by her side.
Aldrin, 95, and Faur’s families confirmed her death via Facebook, noting Faur died “peacefully” in her sleep.
“I am so fortunate to have found and married the love of my life,” Aldrin said about his late wife. “She brought joy to everything we did together. I will miss her dearly.”
Her family praised her career as an “accomplished chemical engineer with a Ph.D. from the University of Pittsburgh.” Faur served as the treasurer for the California Hydrogen Business Council and as executive vice president of Buzz Aldrin Ventures LLC.
