Trump DOJ Charges House Candidate Kat Abughazaleh With Conspiracy
Illinois House candidate Kat Abughazaleh and five other activists are facing federal conspiracy charges! for protesting outside a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement processing facility.
- Protest took place in Broadview, a suburb of Chicago.
- 11-page indictment filed on October 23, unsealed Wednesday.
- Charges include using “force, intimidation and threat” to prevent an ICE agent from performing duties.
The indictment accuses Abughazaleh and the other protesters of conspiracy to “injure him in his person or property”.
Abughazaleh is one of six activists charged with federal conspiracy.
