Dispersal Order in Place for Carlisle's Annual Fireshow
Cumbria Police has put a dispersal order in place in Bitts Park and the city centre ahead of Carlisle's fireshow this weekend.
The event is expected to attract more than 35,000 spectators. Ahead of the event, police have authorised a dispersal order, which is in place from 12 noon to 11:59 pm on Saturday, November 1 in Carlisle city centre.
The dispersal order gives officers extra powers to ask individuals engaging in anti-social behaviour to leave the area and not return. If they return, they risk being arrested.
Officers will be patrolling the area on Saturday to ensure that everyone enjoys the show without disruption.
Cumbria Police are deploying in greater numbers in Carlisle on Saturday, 1 November, for the annual firework show.
