A 35-year-old Indiana County man, John Manning, has been sentenced to up to three years in state prison for stealing thousands of dollars worth of packages while working as a DoorDash driver.
According to the Pennsylvania Attorney General's office, Manning pleaded guilty in October to felony organized retail theft charges. His stealing spree occurred in multiple counties, including Allegheny, Armstrong, Indiana, and Westmoreland.
"While delivering meals as a DoorDash driver, this defendant was also scouting neighborhoods and homes for potential theft opportunities, which he later acted upon,"
said Attorney General Dave Sunday. Manning used his employment to steal packages from homes and sell the stolen goods.
