The Minns Labor Government is celebrating the completion of the $39 million restoration of the Peats Ferry Bridge at Mooney Mooney.
Built during World War II and opened in 1945, the bridge has stood as a symbol of connection and ingenuity for 80 years.
After two years of work, the 80-year-old steel truss bridge is once again ready to serve local communities and motorists.
More than 60 local workers were part of the project.
The bridge boasts one of the largest spans between piers of any steel truss road bridge in the state and once held the record for the world’s longest welded truss span.
