Soccer Legend David Beckham Knighted
David Beckham has been knighted by King Charles III, describing it as his "proudest moment".
The retired British soccer star accepted the knighthood for his services to sport and charity at Windsor Castle.
- He was named in the King's Birthday Honours list earlier this year.
- Other honorees included Kazuo Ishiguro and Elaine Paige.
"I've been very obviously lucky in my career to have won what I've won and done what I've done but to receive an honor like this, of a knight, is beyond anything that I ever thought that I would receive,"
Beckham said after the ceremony.
