L’ÉCOLE Middle East to Present “Poetry of Birds” Exhibition During Dubai Design Week
L’ÉCOLE Middle East, School of Jewelry Arts, supported by Van Cleef & Arpels, will unveil a new exhibition titled “Poetry of Birds” in Dubai on November 6, 2025, as part of Dubai Design Week. Organized in strategic partnership with Dubai Design District (d3), the exhibition welcomes the public and will run until April 25, 2026.
Exhibition Highlights
After its acclaimed editions in Paris and Tokyo, the Dubai presentation offers a fresh interpretation exploring the dialogue between 19th and 20th-century Western jewelry and Islamic art, unified by the theme of poetry.
- Exquisite masterpieces, objects of fine craftsmanship, and gouaché drawings featuring birds from renowned jewelers including Van Cleef & Arpels, Cartier, and Buccellati.
- Middle Eastern artworks on loan from notable institutions such as the Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilization and Dubai Museums.
- Items on display include carpets, ceramics, metalworks, and miniatures that highlight regional artistry.
Art and Inspiration
The exhibition also marks the public debut of Emirati artist Faisal Al Rais, whose contemporary photographs capture the symbolic and aesthetic presence of birds across cultures and landscapes of the Middle East and beyond.
