By recently winning the Aloha Classic, Morgan Noireaux has returned to victory eight years after his last crown at Hookipa. As a waverider who reinvented himself and moved beyond his comfort zone in Maui, he shares his thoughts with Windsurfjournal.com about this impressive win, equaling Robby Naish in the number of titles won.
Morgan Noireaux: "Thank you very much. The last time I won was in 2017, so it's been eight years now. There have been five Aloha Classics in between. For me, it represents a long time in the water, hard work, and many defeats too. In those years, I struggled to reach the final, often getting knocked out in the quarter-finals or semi-finals."
He adds that the toughest part was coming back after bad starts in crucial heats.
"I had some very tough semi-finals and finals. I started poorly in both but still managed to come back, which makes me happiest. Overcoming those dead ends was very motivating."
Windsurfjournal.com observed that Morgan seemed especially strong and committed during the final, performing powerful maneuvers with great determination.
Morgan Noireaux’s recent Aloha Classic win marks a triumphant return after years of challenges, showcasing resilience and a renewed competitive spirit.
