The UNLV football team aims to end a two-game losing streak in their upcoming game against Colorado State on Saturday in Fort Collins, Colorado.
The Rebels (6-2 overall, 2-2 Mountain West) are coming off a 40-35 loss to New Mexico, during which their defense allowed 532 total yards, including 401 passing yards. Another defeat could end their hopes of reaching the Mountain West championship game for the third straight year.
This will be UNLV’s first trip to Colorado State since 2019. The teams were scheduled to meet at Canvas Stadium in 2020, but the game was canceled due to positive COVID-19 cases.
Colorado State (2-6 overall, 1-3 Mountain West) also enters the match with two losses in a row. The team dismissed their head coach Jay Norvell midway through his fourth season. In the first game under interim coach Tyson Summers, the Rams lost 28-0 to rival Wyoming on October 25.
