The provincial government is introducing a new design for licence plates, with a theme of "Strong and Free", echoing the province's Latin motto.
Until November 15, Albertans can vote online for one of eight unique designs that incorporate the province's landscape and history.
The motto's inclusion on the licence plates will also serve as a nod to Canada's national anthem and Alberta's position as a strong and sovereign province within a united Canada.
The new design will be implemented in 2026, marking the first change to the licence plates since 1984.
