The costume designer had access to the “whole” Tiffany archive, which started with an entirely different book-to-screen adaptation: Baz Luhrmann’s 2013 version of The Great Gatsby.

Christopher Young, Vice President & Creative Director of Tiffany Patrimony and Global Creative Visual Merchandising, worked on a movie for the first time with Luhrmann, designing Daisy Buchannan’s Art Deco headband and Jordan Baker’s sparkling cuffs.

For Frankenstein, however, the approach was different, as

“I was rather skeptical,”
said Young, when the opportunity to work on Guillermo del Toro’s new adaptation came up, with his only reference point being the 1931 adaptation.
