Parents from Dover, Landgrove and Londonderry expressed their desire to continue sending their children to Burr & Burton Academy in Manchester.
Rich Werner of Dover, chairman of the River Valleys Unified Union School District, called Vermont "a unique place" and cited transportation in rural and hilly areas as a major issue to consider.
"You guys don't have an easy job,"
he told the task force. Area residents shared their thoughts and fears with the Vermont School Redistricting Task Force, as it prepares a map to recommend to the Legislature.
