New SafeNest Facility Offers Hope and Healing

SafeNest, a Southern Nevada nonprofit, has opened a new facility to support survivors of domestic and sexual violence, providing a safe place for adults and children to stay after leaving an abuser.

The new location, kept confidential for safety reasons, features a "trauma triage" center, allowing survivors to stay for 72 hours while meeting with a case manager and adjusting to life away from their abuser.

"This is where hope begins,"

said Angela Reyes, Chief Program Officer at SafeNest. The facility's design includes calming touches of purple and lavender.
