A Subaru expert has shared a useful trick for driving in bad weather, specifically for cleaning the backup camera on newer Subaru models.

The trick involves using a nozzle above the backup camera that releases wiper fluid to clean the lens when it's covered in mud, rock salt, or other substances.

- Ascent models are also equipped
- Forester and Crosstrek models have the nozzle as well
According to the expert, drivers can operate the nozzle from inside the car by twisting the rear windshield washer and holding it, causing windshield washer fluid to spray out and clean the camera.
