High-speed Motorcycle Chase Ends in Violent Crash
A wild motorcycle chase ended in a violent crash on a Southern California freeway Monday afternoon after the suspect attempted to flee at extraordinary speeds.
All eastbound lanes were shut down and a SigAlert was issued between Mountain and Campus avenues on the 210 Freeway in Upland.
- Traffic was backed up for miles, with traffic at a standstill during peak rush hour traffic at 3 p.m.
- There is a major police presence at the scene, with traffic being diverted off of Mountain Avenue.
The chase started in Rancho Cucamonga at around 1:20 p.m. on the same street where a San Bernardino County sheriff's deputy was shot, although it is unclear whether both incidents are connected.
