Omoyele Sowore Regains Freedom

Former presidential candidate and activist, Omoyele Sowore, has been released after spending four days in detention in Abuja.

Sowore, publisher of Sahara Reporters, was detained for leading a protest demanding the release of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

Leaving Kuje Prison in Abuja after being detained there illegally for four days.

Sowore confirmed his release on October 27, describing his detention as illegal.
