IEC Surpasses 20,000 Apprentices
The Independent Electrical Contractors (IEC) has reached a major milestone, now supporting over 20,000 apprentices across the country.
IEC's merit shop approach emphasizes skill, performance, and opportunity, allowing individuals to succeed based on their abilities rather than union affiliation.
"I am so proud of this milestone and want to recognize the work of our members who dedicate their time to the curriculum and those who invest in our apprenticeship program," said Amy Biedenharn, IEC Executive Director.
Through this approach, IEC has built a strong foundation for the electrical industry, preparing workers to lead projects, innovate, and drive the industry forward.
