New Vale of Glamorgan Council Ward Boundaries Proposed
Democracy and Boundary Commission Cymru has opened a consultation on the future shape of the council map.
The commission has published draft proposals for changes to council ward boundaries in the Vale of Glamorgan, aiming to ensure each ward has a roughly equal ratio of electors to councillors.
The last review of Vale of Glamorgan council wards was completed in 2021, and a community review was submitted in 2024.
The commission seeks to bring all wards within 20% of the council average rate of electors to councillors, as four existing wards currently fall outside this range.
