Worley Bennett, a Rocky Mount reenactor, demonstrates how to make candles at the Rocky Mount State Historical Site.
- To speed up the process of candle making, Worley Bennett had a setup that allowed him to dip 25 candles at a time.
- Ellie Reden, 2, from Johnson City, tries her hand at candle dipping, although in the 1700s, she would be too young to be given this responsibility.
But if you were out of candles, you couldn’t run out to Hobby Lobby, Target or a Michaels store and buy more.
