Power Outage Impacts Jenison Schools
The Ottawa County Sheriff's Office reports that a section of Bauer Road is currently closed due to downed power lines. Drivers are urged to avoid the area while Consumers Energy crews conduct repair work.
According to Jenison Public Schools, both Jenison High School and Jenison Junior High School are operating on a two-hour delay as a result of the outage.
“About 1,110 customers are affected, and the cause is listed as storm damage,” stated Consumers Energy's outage map.
The outage has disrupted power across portions of the Jenison school campus and the surrounding community.
