Two Australian men gained recognition from American country singer Drew Baldridge after they intervened to protect a McDonald’s employee from an aggressive customer in Melbourne. The incident, captured in viral footage, shows a female worker allegedly being verbally assaulted and spat at by a man.
Baldridge, currently touring Australia with Jelly Roll, shared the video on his social media with the caption “Never abuse women.” In the post, he praised the men who restrained the attacker for their quick and respectful actions.
“Wrong country if you want to abuse women,”
one of the men can be heard saying in the video.
According to Baldridge, he witnessed the man repeatedly shouting at the staff member.
“He probably said it like five times and I was starting to get frustrated. And I was like, ‘Bro, you need to calm down. You don’t talk to women like that.’”
The confrontation escalated when the man allegedly spat at the worker “just because his order wasn’t right.” This prompted others in the restaurant to intervene.
“Before I know it, these dudes got this dude on the ground,”
Baldridge recalled, commending them for standing up against harassment.
