Stoke-on-Trent weather maps turn icy blue with 'snow to hit next week'

Stoke-on-Trent Weather Forecast: Temperatures to Drop with Possible Snow Next Week

Temperatures in North Staffordshire are expected to fall sharply, with some forecasts predicting snow as soon as next week. Weather maps for the region have turned icy blue, indicating wintry showers ahead.

The area recently saw temperatures reaching the mid-teens at the start of November, but that warmth is set to end as colder weather arrives. The BBC forecasts a chance of sleet later this month, while the weather service WXCharts suggests snow may occur around November 20 and 21.

The BBC notes, "there may be some sleet on November 23."

The Met Office's long-range UK forecast indicates that from later this week, some higher ground could experience snow, with temperatures expected to remain below average.

Looking at this week, the Met Office says relatively mild weather will persist initially. For today, heavy rain is forecast from 1 pm to 4 pm with highs of 11°C and lows of 8°C. Rain is possible on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, with highs around 14°C tomorrow.

However, from November 14, temperatures will drop further, staying below 9°C and feeling like 5°C for much of the day. The weekend will feel cooler, with lows reaching 5°C at times.

The BBC adds, "there could be some thundery conditions from 2 pm until around 4 pm today with light rain persisting."

Summary

South Staffordshire faces a significant temperature drop next week, with possible snow and sleet, ending mild November conditions and bringing cooler, wetter weather.
