Turkey Buys RAF's Retired C-130Js
Turkey has been steadily strengthening its air and defense capabilities in recent years.
The country has confirmed the purchase of twelve C-130J-30 Super Hercules tactical transport aircraft from the Royal Air Force (RAF).
- 12 C-130J-30 aircraft will be transferred to the Turkish Air Force.
- The aircraft will undergo maintenance and upgrades by UK-based Marshall Aerospace.
This acquisition marks a significant step in Turkey’s effort to modernize its airlift capability and sustain logistical autonomy.
The deal involves 12 C-130J-30 aircraft and was signed earlier this year.
